Why we built this.
Domain names are one of the last digital things you genuinely own. Not rented, not licensed, not subject to a platform changing its mind. We wanted to give people that — as a gift, not as a tech transaction.

giftyour.name is a small Melbourne company. The product started as a Christmas gift for a niece who’d just figured out what a URL was and asked if she could “get one.” It turned out buying someone a domain as a gift was weirdly hard — every domain provider we tried assumed the buyer was the recipient, buried billing forms, asked for company numbers we didn’t have, and forgot the bit that actually matters — the giving.
So we built this. The domain, a greeting page that lives on it, and a printed certificate for the mantelpiece. Four tiers, one-time, no subscription. Australian first because that’s where we live; UK and US in 2027.
